Clicked on this hoping to see a solution for dozens of consoles, hah. Very spiffy though.
I have a solution for about ~15 in my setup currently. Nothing homemade, just the best entertainment console I could find for the purpose. I did install case fans in it though, for circulation. When I get it where I want, I'll share some pictures (I think it's been like ten years since I've shared my collection here). I keep losing space to the OTHER things that need to live in the console though, like the receiver and eventually some matrix switches to actually hook everything up at once.
But this inspires me to build something for the rest (another ~15 plus a growing amount of computers). I have quite a small loft space to put everything and the only spare space I can think of is either below a window or above a corner fireplace, so custom is my only option. I'm tempted to remove the fireplace, but then how often do you see a cozy gaming space?
