I plan on eventually getting OoTW for Genesis so I can compare the Genesis and Sega CD versions. As for Prince of Persia, I might get it if I come across it for the NES.

The Hi-res version was remade by the original creator. When he bought the rights to the game he remade it and is now selling it.

Its on GOG. I need to actually beat Another World, I always gave up since it was so hard. I did finally beat Prince of Persia though. Took 15 years I think.

I love Heart of Darkness PS1its very expensive though

Lost in Shadow wii coming out next year seems like something you would like also.

Lester the Unlikely- SNES not a very good game but is also rotoscoped and plays similiar to Prince of persia and Flashback.

Weird Dreams - Amiga not as fluid as some of the others mentioned

Limbo on Xbox live arcade is pretty good

Impossible Mission DS (Nintendo DS)

I'd say go with the DS version, if possible, as it contains the original Impossible Mission, with or without updated graphics, as well as a new Impossible Mission

Impossible Mission 1 and 2 are the true roots of the genre (AFAIK)

The GBA "version" of Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time is a 2d platformer which is a bit reminiscent of the original PoP. It is a bit more action-oriented but it is a quality game from what I played so far, and worth checking out for fans of this kind of game.

But that is because the GBC is the original PoP It is probably not unique or sufficiently different version to justify playing PoP again on GBC (when there are arguably superior versions available on larger screens).

The GBA game I mention is, as far as I know, the only version of the "Sands of Time" 2d Platformer (barring mobile phones, to which apparently there were ports of the GBA game). The other Sands of Time games are 3D versions.

You like GBA games, try this one. I'm having fun with it.
