Swap-trick woes concerning Panzer Dragoon Saga

So I mastered the swap-trick pretty easily and played through Disc 1, the problem I have though is switching to Disc 2? I've tried swapping it in normally and at the prompt saying to put in Disc 2 in-game yet I have had no luck with either. Is this possible to even do? Swap multiple disc games or does one must possess a mod chip?

Doesnt it ask you to save before the next disc each time? Just save, and restart the machine, do the swap trick with the next disc. I beat the entire game with the swap trick before.
