Nintendo 3DS
Does anyone know or have any idea if and existing R4 card will work in the new 3DS so that DS roms can be played on it? Just wandering, I have alot of my games on 1 card for simplicity of not carrying a bunch of game cards around and it would be nice if they could be played on it.
Re: Nintendo 3DS
Highly unlikely. I know current R4 cards don't work on dsi since Nintendo is updating their firmware to block flashcarts.

Re: Nintendo 3DS
What swift said. The chances are around 0.0001% that they will. Nintendo is sure to put a different operating system, etc. in the 3DS than the DSi, meaning that they'll be incompatible no matter what.

Re: Nintendo 3DS
I highly doubt it'll work. Nintendo is touting that the 3DS is pretty hard to crack. You're just going to have to carry your games around. Can't be too hard, those things are tiny. Assuming you've bought all the games that you downloaded.

Not a chance.

Re: Nintendo 3DS
no it wont work, but i heard that R4 supposely cracked the 3DS.
Nintendo said possibly they can hack it for emualation of current ds games but not 3ds games.

Acekard2i, R4i DSN & Cyclo iEvolution all work on the 3DS so far. The first two with patches, the third without any patches.

Re: Nintendo 3DS
Was reading on Joystiq that the R4 card works when running Wood because the 3DS recognizes it as a DS game. It's probably been patched already though. Also, there's some hack involving Game and Watch Collection. Must investigate further.

The thing is not even out of Japan yet and the jolly roger is already being hoisted. I hope Nintendo really brings its A-game to the anti-piracy effort this time around.
Maybe now Nintendo will acknowledge Metroid has a fanbase?
