Just bought the modchip from this site for Saturn

Post by XTREEMMAK »

Yeah I ordered it yesterday. I just have a few questions about it though:
1. What shipping company is involved
2. Has anyone ran into problems installing this chip with the model 1 even with the directions listed on this site?
3. Are there cheap drummels out there or another way to file down pin 21?
Do what you do, be who you be, excuse those who cant decide.

1. US Postal Service
2. There have been problems with Model 1s, but of course, there have also be successes.
3. Not sure of the question...

you can pick up a dremmel for like 10-15 bucks

I personally just use a file rod and wire snips for it.

As for success rate, it isn't no 90%, I'd say about 50%. I've done like 5 chips and had it fail on me twice, one of which I finally got to work. It isn't the easiest mod... just hold a steady hand and follow it closely.

Thanks lordofduct --- that exactly why I tell people its usually better to track down a model 2 for modding.
