Non-PC retro computer gaming thread

Post by noiseredux »

this is a thread for talking about retro computers. This isn't for DOS/Windows retro gaming. Rather use this thread to show off your newest C64 purchases; to recommend controllers for Amiga; to trouble-shoot an Atari ST problem; to talk about MSX translations; share links to obscure x68000 games; discuss the pros and cons of the three revisions of Tandy's TRS-80 Color; and so on. You get the point. Right?

If anyone wants to ask anything about the Atari 8-bits or MSX I'm down.

I've been thinking about getting a Commodore 64 for a while now. I'm still not sure if I'm ever gonna. I'm mainly posting so this thread will show up in my "view your posts".

I can't ever use that function for anything considering how much dumb shit I post everywhere on this forum, hahaha.

I'd love to get an Amiga or ZX Spectrum or C64, I played with the Amiga and C64 quite a bit as a kid. Haven't looked into how much those things cost these days.

The price is what has kept me from getting a C64.

I have:
Atari 600XL
VIC-20
Commodore 64
Commodore 16
Amiga 500
MSX
Tandy Color Computer (Models 2 & 3)
TI-99/4A

I love this shit. This year I'd like to focus mostly on the MSX, picking up some old Falcom carts and whatnot. I'd really like a Mattel Aquarius sometime too, but it's not a pressing matter.

These past few years have been really bad for collecting MSX carts honestly, the European resellers have caused prices to go through the roof big time, especially for Konami games. Last year I sold off all my remaining MSX carts and stuck with my MegaFlashROM SD cart because it just wasn't worth it anymore.
