Beat this s.o.b on Jedi difficulty. Final score= 281650. I racked up a shit ton of points with obtaining extra time and out of the necessity of having to kill storm troopers to regain health. I plan on beating the snes trilogy today, but for now, I'm happy with this accomplishment. Unfortunately, I have a ton of work to do, so I'm going to a sushi bar to grab lunch, get some work done, then hopefully I'll have time to enjoy my "weekend".

Played it on Jedi difficulty. This game is cheap, and like Super Star Wars, takes a lot of creative liberties with the movie. But, I don't mind that, because if it followed the movie scene for scene, it probably wouldn't be that fun of a game (although there really should have been a compactor level in SSWars).

The game has some improvements, especially the double jump, but still has the same major flaws as the previous game. The jumps require pinpoint accuracy, or it's your ass. Add that to the fact that your character jumps back when hit, it makes for some really frustrating levels. While I'm on that tangent, the level difficulty ranges from easy to insanely difficult, where some of the first levels are much more difficult then latter ones. It's probably my favorite of the three snes games (still prefer rebel assault on the Sega CD) but it has its faults. Mostly, it is hard as fuck to beat. The addition of a better block with the lightsaber is great, but still, the lightsaber will pass thru enemies with out causing any damage, and the shots from the "homing gun" don't home.

But, all in all, frustration aside, it's fun, at least for me.

Shadow Man (N64) - Wow. I spent a lot of late nights playing this game. Creepy old-school...

Okami (PS2) - Very much like zelda, but in all the right ways. Oh yes.

Monster Party (NES) - Love the WTF bosses!

Vice Project Doom (NES) - That final alien boss kicked my arse so many times. :(

Rocket: Robot On Wheels (N64) - Fun! Clever level designs...

Harvest Moon 64 (N64) - Not the first time I won it, but good stuff as always.

TMNT Manhattan Project (NES) - I love and always will love TMNT. The ORIGINAL TMNT, I should say...

Paper Mario (N64) - Full of win.

I've let the Joker take the plunge over the ledge several times. The music and nostalgia make up for the difficulty, which compared to a lot of other nes games isn't that difficult.

Chaos Rings - iPhone *new*
TOTAL: 58

Chaos Rings is an excellent RPG on the iPhone that has beautiful 3D graphics. I beat this one in under ten hours, but it seems like there is a lot of replay value in it. I'll probably start a new game with the other playable couple just to see if their ending is any different. This was not just a good iPhone game, but a great RPG in general.

Here is a nice review for anyone that is interested. http://toucharcade.com/2010/04/19/chaos ... usive-rpg/

mega man 9

mega man compared to its sequels is very subpar. shitty level design on top of shitty weapons. bombman's bomb is completely useless, even against gutsman. i find using the default weapon much more efficient than hoping he is in the vicinity of the bomb explosion. speaking of gutsman, his weapon is useless to.

little nemo started off weak but ended on a high note. the first few levels i thought sucked a fatty, but it got better, especially the last level. i also had no idea i could attack enemies with a wand until the last level where i had to actually fight a boss battle. i spent the first 7 levels just dodging enemies.

I played through a few games on the Data East collection for the Wii, both of which were fairly tough (especially Caveman Ninja, the arcade/hard version of SNES' Joe and Mac). At least I got a hamburger with the President as a reward after Bad Dudes!

Zombie Wasteland is a great game and caused me to do more frantic tapping then I ever thought I would. I highly recommend it.
