If you guys can't find the JP version online, try looking for "Great Mahou Daisakusen".

Nothing outstanding here after a few test runs, but I'll break the ice.

So we're not actually playing Dimahoo, we're playing Great Mahou Daisakusen. Is that right?

For the record, Dimahoo is already insanely hard and Great Mahou is even harder still, so for the sake of everyone's sanity, I assumed we'd be playing the Euro or US version...

Before we get everyone confused...isn't the only difference one degree of difficulty? Dimahoo is the Western name, Great Mahou Daisakusen is the JP name, but I didn't want people confused with one of the other Mahou games...

...so, they are the same game, just set at different difficulty from my understanding.

So ok - to avoid more confusion and since we are only 3 hours in - i'll change the OP.

Play Dimahoo.

If you are playing Great Mahou as I am, then lower the difficulty by one (I think to 3, I won't know until I hop on tomorrow - if someone else can find the info before then, please post it.)

Not a new PB, because I got that earlier this week in practice (5.83 million, so not much difference).

Default ROM in MAME is Dimahoo (Euro 000121) and filename is dimahoo.zip

Default difficulty is 4 and extends at 2 & 5 mil.

Aaaand once again #1 is set for the week. Looks like we won't be tied for first come next Saturday.

I just checked test mode in mame; default difficulty is "4" for both euro and jp.

So are we playing euro defaults? Is JP harder even with the same difficulty set or something?

Need FreeMCboot? I'll install it on your PS2 Memory Card for free if you cover postage both ways.

Yeah, Japan difficulty 4 is harder than Euro difficulty 4.
