My hope is some of our "fringe" shmuppers will join in our SotM and a future STGT. I think a lot of folks maybe fear posting a "low" score or just not quite getting it. Hopefully a toned down (read: friendlier) STGT like this will open that door in the future.
I know I personally bested previous scores in Muchi Muchi Pork...and I probably wouldn't have without this competition. I gave Eco Fighters more time - didn't love it, but forced my way through to some stages I hadn't seen and am glad I did. Mars Matrix...I still struggle, but it was fun. Got my first ALL in a CAVE game to boot - which was just awesome. These are things that can happen in the right setting - so i'm def. please w/turnout and the results.
