The usual default settings/no continue rules apply (except for Strikers 1945 Plus, US default is 2 lives, change to 3 lives in service menu, or change region to Japan).

Strikers 1945: Arcade/MAME, Saturn, PSX, PS2 - all acceptable.
Strikers 1945 II: Arcade/MAME, Saturn, PSX, PS2 - 'Arcade' or 'Original' (Saturn, PSX and PS2 original mode differs slightly from the arcade version.)
Strikers 1945 III/Strikers 1999: Arcade/MAME
Strikers 1945 Plus: Arcade/MAME, Neo Geo, PSX, PSP (For MVS/Neo Geo, settings should be arcade MVS(4) difficulty, lives at 3, extend at 600,000.)

I think I'm improving at Psikyo games...I can now make it to stage 6 in most of them. I wonder which one is the easiest to actually 1cc?

I thought getting to 1-4 in anything Psikyo is a major accomplishment! I couldn't break 1-5 on Dragon Blaze last year (March 2012 SoTM), because any 1-4 stage is gonna be the toughest for me. But 1-6? Maybe my plane choices are all wrong.

Yes, that is 100K better and one stage better than my first P38 Lightning score.

Strikers 1945 Plus MVS is good for the Strikers 1945 II scoreboard, yeah?

I think Strikers Plus is a sort of mashup of these 2 games. Most of the stages are from Strikers II, but it has some ships from Strikers. I think with it being vertizontal and having much slower bullets, the two probably aren't comparable.

That said, if Doc wouldn't mind, perhaps we could add Strikers 1945 Plus to the boards (and maybe eventually add Strikers 1945 III/Strikers 1999 to make it a full-blown Strikers thread)

I know I'd play the MVS version. Perple bullits r awesum.

PlayStation Strikers 1945 counts as II, right? Or are there enough differences that I should play it on Saturn?

Yeah, that one is Strikers II. Its accurate enough to be comparable. Most people regard the Saturn port as the best Strikers II port there is. I haven't done any personal research into it, but from light play it seems that the only differences lie in the graphics, and the option to Tate.

I just saw The Video Game Critic's site review Strikers 1945 Plus! Might be worth the download. I still have Strikers 1945 III from STGT last year -- man that was a crazy week. All scores were submitted with the X-36  That would be some scoreboard! I'm liking I & II because I've played them on real cabs before, 1945 was at a movie theater I was going to every few weeks and I'd play the heck out of that.

As mentioned, Strikers 1945 Plus is a different game than 1945 I & II. I think I'm right in saying that the default settings only gave you 2 lives in total (but everyone changes the dip settings and plays with 3). It was released for the PSP as well, and I think you were stuck with 2 lives on that version! I might start a new thread for Strikers 1999 and Strikers Plus (or is it possible to change the thread title for this thread to include all of them?).

Meanwhile, so there's no confusion with the PS1 releases, it went like this:

Strikers 1945 (Japan) - This is a port of Strikers 1945
Strikers 1945 (US) - Port of Strikers 1945 II
Strikers 1945 II (EU & JP) - Port of Strikers 1945 II

Make sure you know which one you're playing :)
