Nice man! I'll work on a score worth posting a bit tonight, excited to dig into this one.

Edit: Alright, put 2 credits in and got this. In both credits I died on stage 1, which is hilarious, as the 2nd run still ended up being epic.

Dunpeal2064 - 1,844,900 - Stage 5 - Lightning - Level 16 - Arcade

Damn, this game gets straight Cave on stage 4 with those dark purple lined shots.

I like this game a lot more than I thought I would, I'm really surprised. Having things that can only be hit by the homing charge gives this game a sort of Rayforce/Souky feel, but the medals and secrets remind me of Raiden Fighters or Raizing.

Really top notch.

Oh yes you can!

All I did was bomb a lot, and made sure to get the bombs when they drop. Half the time I bomb just to get that bomb. All the points come from survival, I was doing little to no scoring tricks.

Don't give up! Its a capcom shooter, you have to play it!

I have a secret -- behind ExedExes this was my 2nd most played Capcom shmup, I've been doing it since Final Burn was released in 2001, but I never did it as a 1cc scoring format before -- I thought that 800K would last quite a while  I only use the Mosquito because that is the ship I am most accustomed to. Love to charge up the bombs too :D

I still know you can do better! Shoot, you can get to stage 6 in Axelay, and there are no safebombs in that one.

I love Mosqito for his speed and fire power, but his homing does not take enemies down fast enough for me. I switched to Lightning to get a bit more homing power, since that is what I primarily use on the larger enemies. The faster speed took a bit to get used to.

It seems like pretty much every shot in this game is aimed at you until at least stage 4, so bullet herding and sweeping works pretty dang well. I mean, I died on the first stage!

I hope you still play this one! I'll jump into some Exed Exes with you anytime too :)

Before you showed up, I would have, without hesitation, said that Capcom shooters were not my cup of tea. Since then, there are now TWO capcom shooters that I quite enjoy! Always great to find more shooters to love.
