I know Cave is porting Guwange to XBLA, but I'm not aware of any more upcoming disc releases.

If sales go well for Death Smiles in the US, there's a rumor that they will localize the sequel, as well. I hope they port over DoDonPachi; being a fan of bullet hell SHUMPs, I love that series. I also bought Death Smiles, to show support for the genre outside Japan. Hopefully, we will get to see more of these games released.

I think we're all looking forward to Deathsmiles II: More Trap Edition getting localized.

Bugger all on PAL, the only 2 which count are Mushihime & ESPgaluda US releases which are region free. Thanks to Hirashya for selling and sending me Mushihime, which is awesome. This is the first thoroughbred current gen shmup I've played - and the amount of bullets on screen, particularly in Arrange mode, is silly!

PAL XBLA releases include Ikaruga, Triggerheart, 1942, Omega 5 and all the dual stick crap, which doesn't count. Some people think Rez is a shmup also, although, awesome as it is, I don't agree.

Whilst the lack of decent shooters on PAL 360 is pathetic, at least there are some current gen games available, which is more than can be said for PS3 or Wii.

Rather than make a new topic (considering most of these have already been mentioned in various topics), I figured I'd let it be known here the slew of shooters being released for Xbox 360 . Guwange, Dangun Feveron, Radiant Silvergun, and Bangai-O HD: Missile Fury are coming to Xbox Live Arcade. DoDonPachi: Resurrection, Radirgy Noa Massive, Bullet Soul (an original shooter being developed by 5pb), a double package of Muchi Muchi Pork and Pink Sweets, and Otomedius Excellent are all going to have retail releases. Otomedius Excellent, at least, will also be getting a U.S. release.

That's a ton-o'-exciting news, but particularly exciting for me actually aren't the retail releases, but the Arcade releases of Guwange and Dangun Feveron. Both are voted as some of the best shooters of all times over at the shmups.com forums, and neither have ever seen a console release.
