Interesting. Is the US company that was set to release it still around? Seemed like it was already mostly translated (if not 100%) and they had been promoting it.

Whatevz. Not a great game anyway. But still fun.

I'm not sure. I actually didn't even know this was a spiritual successer to Asuka 120% until today, and I first played this gmae almost a year ago

Like you sid, not a huge loss. Much more excited for GGXXAC than I am sad to not see this localized.

I'm trying to sell my NTSC-J copy of Phantom Breaker.

I'm more excited about Persona 4 Arena (awesome), Guilty Gear on PSN, BlazBlue Chronophantasma, and Aquapazza (next week).

Is there concrete confirmation of this? I recalled 7Sixty pushing back the release date for mid September.

My news was heresay from another member, not sure of the source.

Its been removed from the canadian amazon, but that's all I know.

Phantom Breaker: Extra coming to PS3 and Xbox 360 in September. No word on a US release. I've got the PS3 version pre-ordered.

This game is so awesome that it merits three separate threads!

One of those is about Phantom Breaker Battlegrounds. Which is a retro style side scrolling beat em up. One is about Phantom Breaker coming to the US. Which never happened. And the newest thread is for Phantom Breaker: Extra, an updated version of the original. Now that I made that thread the fighting game has its' own thread purely about the game. And not about the beat em up spin off game or the failed attempt to bring the original version to the US.
