Eh? I don't think I would ever dream of putting "Great" anywhere near "King of Fighter 2006"...

Anyway, Bushido Blade will never make a proper comeback, thanks to Light Weight cutting their ties with Square. Even if Square could make a decent Bushido Blade sequel, they wouldn't dare stray from their constant flood of over-bloated RPGs these days.

As for Light Weight, they may as well be dead - their Kengo games have been failures apparently (most of them never made it stateside) and the only thing they've done recently is Sky Diving for PSN.

Well that is depressing. Bushido blade is an awesome title. It would also be nice to have something different in the genre.

Can someone please explain to me what is so terrible about soul caliber 4? Aside from some HEAVY balancing issues (Which i mean, i feel like most any game with this many fighters would have) it was extremely fun. The action was fluid, it brought about some good measures to counter turtling and was an amazing looking game. What's so bad about it?

Well I tried the campaign mode again.........twice.

I can't stand it. It feels tacked on and I don't care to try it again. That might be where all the trophies/achievement points are, but who cares. I still feel I got my moneys worth though with the multiplayer alone.

For me, nostalgia. I played SC2 for no lie several months with friends. We got down on it like college kids play Halo or COD4. Alot of time spent with Soul Edge and the first SC too. When 3 and 4 came out, alot of things were too different for me so I just pushed them aside. Im sure its probably an alright game, but I prefer 2.

The main thing is that the moves have become too convoluted and there are simply too many choices of moves that are essentially too similar. It is very difficult to pull off a specific combo or move as there are probably 3 others that have almost the same key input. Now this is great for button mashers as they can hit nearly any combination and have it look like they are doing something deliberate, but if one wishes to memorize specific moves sequences, it is very tough. Also it is more than a little lame that every character has the same face until you buy them a new one - who's bright idea is that? Basically rather than 'soul' the game has a generous dose of Harry Potter. The series basically started to go wrong in SC III when Namco began laying off some of their best designers.

My problems with it are as follows...
No Chronicles of the Sword
No Custom Character fighting styles
Awful Online Play
A lot of cheese from Kilik, Cervantes, Yun-Seong and The Apprentice

The only thing I really liked about SC4 was the many new parts for the Custom Character builder. It allowed me to make some really great characters. (I was especially proud of the Lina Inverse, Gourry, Guts and Terra I crafted.) I'd say that alone made the game worth the price - it's just a shame the online component was damn-near unplayable.
