There's a bunch of medals I haven't been able to get without friends, even after completing the game and maxing out everything you can purchase after hitting certain Rally milestones.

I did see they are releasing 2.0 soon with some new things to chase down, including a new playable character (Fwiw, I have always played as Mario).
