Hey.

I am a fan of the PC-FX myself, and with no Japanese knowledge. Its great to see more people jumping in on the PC-FX as obscure as it is.

So far I have completed Last Imperial Prince, Team Innocent, and Pia Carrot. Last Imperial Prince(great game) and Team Innocent(fantastic) have walkthroughs available for them. You'd need to go here to get them: http://www.pcenginefx.com/PC-FX/html/pc ... _faqs.html

I am currently playing through Farland Story FX. That is another game I have found to have little trouble with, not knowing japanese.

I also suggest looking into getting Galaxy Fraulien Yuna FX.

Here is a chart to give you a rough idea of how much japanese is needed to enjoy which games: http://www.pcenginefx.com/PC-FX/html/pc ... ge_li.html

I dont know if it was linked yet, but hopefully someone can find that helpful.

So what's the price for a non discolored PC-FX console? What's the weight of the unit considering I would have to bring it from Japan?

I don't have a scale, so I can not weigh my system to give you a good idea of how heavy it is. But, from what I have seen, shipping for a unit would be around $40-$80 it seems depending on if you want untrackable SAL mail or EMS.

As far as the price if the console, you should be able to find an unboxed loose unit for around $80-$100 and a boxed unit for about $120-$150. That is going by ebay prices. I paid $115 for my boxed console, bought like 3 games w/ it and shipping was close to $100 for me.

A boxed PC-FX w/ Blue Breaker just sold on ebay for like $102 and it was shipping from the states...so you might be better off waiting for an auction like that to save you some $$ in shipping and things. Just thought i'd throw that out there.

Hope that helps!

I haven't heard of PC-FX before so I decided to read the wiki entry. It says that it sold only 100K units before it was discontinued. Wow, that such a small amount. I guess it might not have been too bad considering it was sold only in Japan.

SAL prices just went up recently, it seems to me (could be wrong). The prices between SAL and EMS aren't really that much different, which makes SAL completely pointless.

For the record, I've got some PC-FX stuff for sale that I'll be putting up this weekend. Nothing much, just a couple of mint boxed controllers (controllers are mint, boxes have some dents) and a couple common games.

I've gotta say, the PC-FX controllers are some of the absolute nicest feeling controllers out there. I'd say that they're second only to the Saturn controllers... and even then, they feel better in some ways.
