I can help with OGX for HDD games. We have:
Soft mod thread:
viewtopic.php?f=25&t=50934
HDD upgrade thread:
viewtopic.php?f=52&t=46123

Also worth noting 360 has a similar HDD mod scene. You can even run a good bit of OGX games on a 360 that weren't officially backwards compatible. MVG has a really good video on this.

I'm not familiar with it but I know the PS3 has a similar scene for ISOs off HDD. Also an ODE (Cobra IIRC). PSP mods off SD are notable as well, also running POPs for PS1 on PSP.

That "ODE type" solutions section could get large lol.

I run Rebug firmware on my PS3, which is easy enough to install on a compatible model. Requires you to run a patch while on a specific OFW (might even be available with the latest OFW now), then visit a site in your PS3, then upgrade to the CFW-lite. Not difficult, but can potentially really mess up if you don't follow the instructions exactly. Might be best just to share a link for the latest option (I think there was one up to 4.85 OFW).

Totally worth it though. Opens up a lot of possibilities.

Games are loaded up (and installed) through Multiman (or other loader program).

Can run things through internal HDD or USB device.

Anyone know if the Mega Everdrive x3 files work with the original Mega Everdrive? We did a group buy in 2014 and it was *just* the Mega Everdrive back then. The only updated bios they have are for x3/x5/x7.

Krikzz has the "v1" OS in addition to the X3/X5/X7 OS for the Mega Everdrive.

Thanks. May be time for an upgrade. Is the Sega CD stuff good for the later versions?

I have a V2.5 from 2011 and it works fine with the new OSes. I read it was just a rebrand and the V2 is the same as an X7.
you can open yours up to see which you have https://gamesconnection.co.uk/blogs/gam ... e-x3-x5-x7

Someone just released support files for all revisions of the SD2SNES/FXPak Pro that allow boot-up of the Super Game Boy 2 bios to play Game Boy roms.

Glad that it's not necessary to have the newest revision.

edit: Also, a separate firmware mod - a famous speed-runner added slightly buggy, but working save-state ability. This is also for all revisions.

Both of these are unofficial, but will likely be included in the official release shortly.

I just heard that someone created save state capabilities for the Sd2snes. Can't wait for this and Super Gameboy support to make it's way into the official firmware!

So there's no ODE for the Sega CD?
