Introducing Invasion of the Box People

Hey Guys!

I’m Brianna, a community manager for Invasion of the Box People – a twin-stick arena shooter from Angry Giant Games.

I’ve been playing one game or another for as long as I have had something to play on. As much as I love games with complex narrative and lore, sometimes I need something simple. In my opinion, you can’t go wrong with the classics. Invasion Of The Box People combines the simplicity of a classic arcade game with a quirky sci-fi setup.

Invasion of the Box People drops you right into an arena with fast-paced, endless gameplay and simple controls. Earth has been invaded by the mysterious box people – and it’s up to you to fight them off.

You can choose from one of three game modes: Bunker Defense, Protect Yourself, and PANIC! Each is suited to a different play style, whether you prefer to stand still or run around collecting upgrades and dodging falling enemies. Upgrades give your weapon special abilities for a short period of time and nukes are great wiping the board. There are also different difficulty levels from easy to some that are pretty brutal.

Invasion of the Box People will soon be touching down on Steam and Android. I look forward to hearing what you think!

Take your place as a defender of the Earth and stop the invasion of the mysterious box people. Select the game mode that best fits your play style, whether you want to hold your ground (Bunker Defense mode) or run around dodging enemies to collect upgrades (Protect Yourself and PANIC! modes).

These upgrades will modify your weapon for a short period of time – making it more effective against the oncoming horde. Some make your projectiles bigger, while others create a spray of bullets as you fire. Your enemies die explosively – sometimes taking their friends with them! Survive for as long as you can and beat your high score.

Hey everyone!

You’re probably wondering what makes Invasion of the Box People different from other twin-stick shooters. Allow me to clear that up for you.

1. Fast-paced: The action moves quickly in this game, so you have to keep on your toes. Whether you’re standing still or running around to collect upgrades, you’ll always keep an eye on the enemy. The longer you play, those box people come at you. How long can you last?

2. Domino Effect: You can kill one enemy with another! If one alien explodes and part of it hits another alien, that one will die as well. This “Domino Effect” is pretty fun to watch – and even more satisfying to pull off. How many can you kill with one shot?

3. Upgrades: In[/list]stead of having to pick and choose your upgrades, you can use as many as you want! They spawn randomly around the map and modify your weapon for a short period of time. The grenade in particular packs quite a punch.
