If you're an indie dev or author of a game, book, film, or other production, this is where you can pitch it -- just don't be spammy!

Shovel Knight: Specter of Torment
Wonder Boy: The Dragon's Trap
Blossom Tales: The Sleeping King

If we're talking indies that I just got around to, then add the following:

The Blackwell Epiphany (play the whole series, though!)
Hyper Light Drifter
Exile's End
Pharaoh Rebirth+

And for those that feel like indies, but had some bigger backers:

Blaster Master Zero

Shin Megami Tensei: Synchronicity Prologue

You're right about it being harder to classify indies. Hyper Light Drifter was awesome. I got the artbook for Christmas. Equally beautiful. Looking forward to checking out The Blackwell Epiphany!

I've heard great things about almost all of the game's I've seen listed. This makes up the bulk of my to-play list.

I don't think I will ever stop being blown away by what indie game devs create. The Game Theory video on Doki Doki Literature Club left me stunned. Cuphead has beautiful animation. I've been wanting to play What Remains of Edith Filch since the first time I heard about it.

Too many good games. Not enough time to play them all.
