Does your Powerjoy takes batteries? A closeup pic of the wire connection in question?
vlame wrote:Yes batteries. The plug is what I use for Genesis.

The Powerjoy puts out mono for sound, a single plug.

1. Yellow - Video
2. White - Audio
3. Black - Power

Note the clear Lightgun sensor on top for NES Zapper games
The Black cable has to be an auxiliary power input, maybe the reason for the female connector to prevent shorting. My Superjoy which is similar takes four AA batteries or a 9 volt adaptor. Weird since the batteries at 1.5v each total to 6 volts. I notice this on a cheap trickle charger 9v drill, the charger was 12 volt.

Remove batteries before using AC
Does your Powerjoy work and with four batteries? If you decide to try an AC adaptor, go with 6 volt first. Verify positive and negative both ways before trying a 9 volt adaptor, a risk of damage if too much voltage. Even though the Powerjoy is perceived as a cheap pirate controller, there are some nice games on it and the buttons are workable. The real nice bonus is the Famicom game cart connector and one of the built in games might be Tengen Tetris! :D

Hey seven has two! I PMed to get his input.

So the battery route worked? Sevin PMed me back and will post later, busy with family on Turkey day. As for me, I'm digesting right now, both in food and the game. Dallas won by one lousy point!

THANKYOU! Oh crap no Tengen Tetris, but I see a good variety of games. Something about pirated NES games, always label Galaga as GALAZA!

Can you post the specifications on the power brick? Volt and Amp output?

 THANKYOU AGAIN!

I didn't expect the manual, a very nice bonus and easy to printout. I don't have a Powerjoy system myself just a 50 game cart. The manual seems to confirm my Powerjoy Navigator cart has NES games and not Homebrew. Right click saved!

Thanks also for the electrical power info, vlame might get this to work. :D
