Do you guys think this would be a good tv for older game play (including light guns)? It has component cable and s video input and all!
Question; when a seller says that the tv is "HD-ready" does that mean that the tv itself is in hd? These two tv's look very pretty, and have a nice price tag, but their specs seem to not clearly say if they are HD.

(That 46 incher sounds damn nice, and its in driving distance to me, but i think where in the specs it said its output was 1080i, that makes the use of lightguns impossible?)
edit; question forgotten to ask previously. I have a genesis to scart to component connection for my genesis/32x/cd. I hardly play lethal enforcers and haven't touched my blue justifier for years, so I'm not too worried about loosing access to that game if the component output from my genesis doesn't work on my inevitable tv (made to work with dreamcast/saturn light guns).
The scart to component conversion is merely to make my pretty genesis games look uber, putting them out at 480. Does this do anything to the reception for a light gun? I've been wanting to get a saturn & dreamcast scart cable for this setup too, but haven't gotten around to it. I would love a prettier picture, but not if it means I can't play specific games.
