I played this for a bit last night (on PC) and it is very much like Overwatch. But Free.

There's also some potentially interesting stuff with unlocking cards that you can use to augment your characters.

Anyway, it's Free so if anyone is interested...

@Popo: This is the part in one of my threads where you say "I'd probably check this out if I wasn't so focused on single player games right now" and then nobody else says anything.

Heroes is just really the only free Dota-style game I have time for right now. I've kinda fallen out of my insatiable addiction to it (but maybe I'll fall back in now that I'm done with Watchdogs 2), but just a game here and there is nice. I'm still enjoying that game enough that I don't feel any need to branch out into other ones right now. Sorry Noise Senpai

SMITE is the Dota knockoff. It comes from the same studio that makes Paladins - the Overwatch knockoff.

SMITE is fantastic. I didn't see sunlight a couple of days ago because of it. So I imagine Paladins should follow suit.

Really!? If anything, I'd call Paladins a SMITE ripoff

And @Noise, I don't gotta try Overwatch, I already gots everything that has in TF2

You're missing out bud. Overwatch rules. But at least Paladins is free should you decide to try it out.

Paladins is awesome. You guys ignoring me are a bunch of losers.

What makes it really interesting - and really differentiates it from Overwatch is the card system. Leveling up will grant you cards in loot boxes, right? Plus gold/whatever. So the cards - you make a "loadout" of five cards that you can choose to augment your characters skills. It makes for a much more customizable playstyle.

And they're really generous. For instance duplicate cards you receive are instantly dusted and turned into purple stuff that you can use to buy new cards. I've played for like a dozen hours now. Spent $0 and have unlocked 3 or 4 new characters, numerous cards and perks.

Also, can a mod move this to "Other Genres" sub-forum seeing as how the game is also on Steam (which is where I've been playing)?
