Rollcage Redux

I recently got a Logitech Momo wheel, and have been trying to get all my old racing games working well on it. I was really struggling to get the original PC Rollcage running, when I found this:

Original developer (he's pretty famous and well-known for what he's done) has actually been continuing work on his old game and completely modernized it. This game runs really well now.
He mentions that if you don't have the disc you probably shouldn't install it.
