I'm just not seeing the point since netplay and updated roms for the Genesis have been used for years.

Admittedly, I don't know anything about Sega CD emulators and how their netplay works but I can't imagine it runs faster or smoother than the Genny ones.

The point for me is I can play a legit game that I own physically instead of downloading a rom. Just my preference.

I am a proponent for the Sega CD version myself and if anyone has issues getting it to work with their emulator, I will be more than happy to help. It is incredibly easy with the GENS emulator (which we would use for the netplay) and it should work smoothly.

@retrosportsgamer Right on, If anyone wants any info on what to do and how to run this, head over to the NHL 94's on-line getting started page and if you need some links for downloads for tools they have those as well

I'm in for either the Genny or Sega Cd version.

Noise, if you own the physical copy what's the hangup with using a ROM or ISO? I'd think the ISO would be quicker to read than the actual CD, and a ROM just saves you the trouble of dumping it yourself...

For some it's when you have to couple finding the iso with mounting it and getting the right BIOS. Also, BIOS downloads are in a much more legally questionable area making it hard to get the right one sometimes.
The PSTV is amazing.

With the ISO, luckily, all you need to do is run it straight from the ISO with GENS, no need to mount it....and I can't really advertise the acquiring of said stuff, but the NHL 94 website is a very very resourceful site

I also own the Sega CD copy so i'm totally down. I'm glad it can use the GENS emulator.
