Lock's Quest (DS) - RTS (light RPG elements)

Post by Jagosaurus »

Anyone else play this one?

I'm on day 23 (of 100) and have REALLY enjoyed it so far. The 16 bit style graphics are a great throw back to my Genesis days. Game is an odd mix of Real Time Strategy & tower defense... with light RPG elements. I'm impressed so far.

It's definitely a hidden gem for the DS. It's a really interesting take on the tower-defense genre and has a pretty decent RPG story going on too.

Yeah Gunatar, I agree. I think it's one that will people will appreciate years from now when looking back for hidden gems on the DS. The odd mixture of genres & story makes it stand out.

I guess I'll use this thread as my progress update as well :). I'm on day 34 of 100 & six hours of gameplay in. Looks like it'll be about a 20 hour game. I've died and failed missions a few times. Nice challenge on some stages.

If I recall it's made by the same people behind Drawn to Life and Scribblenauts. I don't think it did too well though since I never heard much about it. I only learned about it when I was on a Tower Defense kick several years ago.

Well I'm 21 hours in & on day 90 of 100. Really enjoying it. 90% done!

The boss on day 87 dominated me! I had to reset my defenses several times & get the right balance of defense & offensive attack. Finally took him out.

OK, beat this tonight, 23 hours total to knock out the 100 days. The story gets very legit...

I'd call this game a: Real Time Strategy Role Playing Tower Defense game :)

So... RTSRPGTD ;)
