What single player FPS campaign are you playing?

I died on what I think was the last wave of the second to level and put it down for a bit. Might see if I can finish it before I go to bed tonight. That Episode 2 final boss was an asshole.

You mean the gauntlet on E3M9? The Pacifist way of doing that level is hilarious...

Since I finished Project: Snowblind, I needed something new to play. Something good. Hello, Soldier of Fortune.

Yeah, I just finished it by cheesing it running off the edge a bunch until the enemies had culled themselves, then finish wiping them out. Final boss took two tries; first try to figure out the mechanics, second try to win.

Haha, nice. The way you beat the gauntlet without fighting anybody is to crossbow jump to a secret portal at the start of the level. It takes you to a path that bypasses all enemies. I found it by mistake the first time I played the level.

I'm enjoying Soldier of Fortune right now, with the sole exception of the draw distance. I can't figure out how to make it farther out, but the exterior Siberia sections had snipers that could shoot from beyond where I could see. That was rough.

You don't even have to crossbow jump... I literally just turned around and saw that little glimmering speck in the distance, you fall down and just run straight to it haha.

Ha, figures. I completed the game, and I'm still learning new stuff about it.

Well, with Soldier of Fortune done, I'm still hankering for more FPS action. This is the best kind of problem, because I just so happen to own a bunch more FPS I need to play through! Woo! Will 2019 be the Year of the FPS?

So what's next up on your list? I've been grinding through Forsaken Remastered; once I got past the bank vault it's only required one or two tries per level to make it through.

Some folks are pointing me towards Ziggurat, but I'll put together a list of stuff in the next couple of days of what all I've got on hand.

Ok, I've started playing Ziggurat, but this is what else I currently have access to, not including stuff I've wishlisted.

I've broken this list into "retro" and "modern" based on the loose ten-year rule. For all remasters and redux versions, I'm just using the original release date. I've beaten a few of these, but not in their redone version, hence why stuff like BioShock and DOOM 3 are on here:

RETRO

BioShock Remastered
Blake Stone: Aliens of Gold
Blake Stone: Planet Strike!
Blood
Crysis Warhead
Descent 3: Mercenary
Deus
DOOM 3: BFG Edition
F.E.A.R. 2: Project Origin + Reborn
Far Cry 2
Firestarter
Hexen II
Hexen: Deathkings of the Dark Citadel
I.G.I 2: Covert Strike
Killing Time
Kingpin: Life of Crime
Medal of Honor: Pacific Assault
Men of Valor
NecroVision
Oddworld: Stranger's Wrath
Painkiller: Overdose
Redline
Redneck Rampage
Rise of the Triad
Robinson's Requiem
Shadow Warrior Classic Redux
SiN Gold
Star Wars: Republic Commando
Star Wars: Jedi Knight - Jedi Academy
Strife: Veteran Edition
SWAT 3
Thief 2
Thief: Deadly Shadows
TimeShift
Tom Clancy's Ghost Recon
Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six
Venom. Codename: Outbreak
Wolfenstein 3D: The Ultimate Challenge

MODERN

Albedo: Eyes from Outer Space
BioShock 2 Remastered
BioShock Infinite
Call of Juarez Gunslinger
Devil Daggers
Dishonored
Hard Reset Redux
Lichdom: Battlemage
Magrunner: Dark Pulse
Metro 2033 Redux
Metro Last Light Redux
NecroVision: Lost Company
RAGE
Rise of the Triad (remake)
Section 8: Prejudice
Shadow Warrior
Shadow Warrior 2
Wolfenstein: The New Order

I've got some options.
