Where's your list? (just curious, you don't have to list everything or anything, I just need to pay more attention. I am definitely interested in portable releases, at the very least).
I think I even pledged a kickstarter for one (Metroid-Castlevania type called Legend of Iya).

If a game has enough progression variety elsewhere (weapons, armor, spells, relics, etc), in place of experience, I'm always interested. However, I doubt my current (old) PC is up for most of the indies.

That game looks awesome. Love the ZX Spectrum footage.

The Valis games & Alisha Dragoon have light RPG elements.

This. Muramasa. Though I recommend the Vita version over the Wii version, if possible.

I will third this. Muramasa is one of my favorite Wii games - which is saying something - and I highly reccomend it. (I also can't believe I forgot to mention it in my first reply...)

Also, would Actraiser (SNES) count? I have not played it in years, but I went through it several times when I was a teenager.

Dust: An Elysian Tail is a good one to check out if you haven't already. I think it's on PC as well as XBLA now.

I love Muramasa a lot, but it's not a platformer. Muramasa is a beat 'em up with light RPG elements. I'll grant that Muramasa has more jumping than traditional beat 'em ups (say Double Dragon or Final Fight) but not enough jumping to call it a platformer. Some scenes in Muramasa are literally just straight stretches of flat ground with a beautiful background.

In terms of platformer/RPG hybrids, the best answer I have is TOMBA! for Playstation.

I got this in a sale, and it looks pretty great. Haven't tried it out just yet. I partly got it because it was mentioned with the likes of Muramasa and has some pretty good reviews.

I'm a little surprised no isometric games have been mentioned like Light Crusader, Solstice, Equinox, or Land Stalker and Dark Savior.
