When I was a kid I figured out it was much better if I could slide/jump and hold a charged shot at the same time. Unfortunately I couldn't hit all the buttons at the same time. So I would hold the remote up to my mouth and press my tongue up against my lower lip to press the slide button. Still do it sometimes to this day.

Not to mention the finger gymnastics one has to perform with a charge shot and sliding at the same time, a great part of the game.

lol, I grew up mastering that with the SNES/PSX games. I held the controllers differently than any other game... somehow I got really good with it. Dashing is an essential mechanic in these games.

R for dash it the lazy way, but I do that nowadays when I go back to them. :lol:
(same with Super Metroid).

i recently re-trying the maverick hunters x for the psp and crap vile mode is just insanely hard. i cant remember how i beat this before.
