DLC Quest

Post by ZeroAX »

I recently downloaded this gem from steam.

It is a fun short platformer (mind you it is VERY short but at that price I don't mind), making fun of DLC practices. I found it pretty funny and now I'm playing through the "expansion".

Fortunately the gameplay itself is pretty solid (if a bit slow, but then again it's an exploration platformer) so it's not a once trick pony (DLC jokes). I just wish the game was longer.

Anyone else here tried this game?

I got it too when it was on sell. I enjoyed it for what it was, do wish after you got all the dlc that there would of been real levels. But for a buck it was totally worth it.

This was originally on the Xbox 360's Indie channel for a long time. I always meant to get around to playing it at some point.

I played through it on Desura awhile ago. It was short and fun and really does make fun of DLC is a great way.

The expansion actually has some depth and is easily 3-4 times longer. Fun games.

Yes. Plus it's more challenging, but some times in a bad way. There are plenty of leaps of faith in the later parts. It's not annoying because of unlimited lives and frequent checkpoints, but it is bad level design. The original, while short and easy, was tightly designed.

Has anyone here tried to unlock the two speedrun achievements?

Tried it on the original but I think you have to do it in one sitting, and I had to go in the middle of it. Haven't tried it since then.

That's right, you do. And you can't skip any scenes and must immediately begin replaying after getting the "first" ending.
