It sounds like the devs actually tried to use street pass in a unique way. I like the idea of battling random people I pass, and how awesome this will be is directly linked to how good combat is in the game.

So... has anyone played it? :)

Huh, it is fifteen dollars according to their site. I'm gonna wait and see what you guys think of it and/or wait for a sale.

From my time with the demo, it was a quality game that was fun. Worth the $15 and good support to a small indie team.

What would you compare the game to Jmustang? What about it was giving people a "Souls" vibe? Do you think the combat is interesting enough that battling people via streetpass could make the 3ds version notable?

The game felt a lot like Duck Tales meets Castlevania.

I am not sure how it is like a Souls game to be honest...

I know people like to compare everything to 'Souls' lately but there's really nothing I've read about this game where I've heard that comparison. Lol

Mega Man+Ducktales+Zelda II+Castlevania would be more appropriate.

I've seen Souls often considered a throwback to the NES era of game design, maybe that's what they're thinking with that comparison?

I think the Souls titles have more in common with roguelikes than NES games...

Shovel Knight looks like Mega Man to me.
