Shovel Knight

Post by Gamerforlife »

I think the game has been mentioned on this forum before, but I didn't see a topic for it. It looks like what you'd get if you threw Ducktales, Mega Man, and Castle Crashers in a blender. Supposedly, there is some slight Dark Souls influence as well. It's made by former members of Wayforward and the kickstarter just recently reached its fundraising goal. Here's a trailer and a funny level playthrough by the guys from Two Best Friends Play

It was recently greenlit and is on my radar. It looks like itll be a whole mess of a lot of fun. Good concept and great artwork, waiting on how to see how the execution is.

So this is coming out on the 3DS any day now. Should I buy it? Is the PC version a better game? Cause having it on a portable is a major bonus for me. How "big" is the game?

Should you buy it? I dunno but I think it looks great. The 3DS version has 3D and Streetpass...stuff for whatever that's worth to you but other than that they're the same. Can't really go wrong either way really.

I've been waiting to play this for a while so I'm glad it's finally here this week.
