Muramasa: The Demon Blade
That looks awesome. I'm gonna have to look into a few of these games that were brought to my attention.

Have you heard of Virtual Console? Wii Ware is kinda the same thing, only for original games. They're digital-only games for the Wii. If you go to the Wii Shop Channel, you'll see the Wii Ware section. There's quite a few games in there, too. I haven't even bothered to explore the Wii Ware library much. Some people have a problem with it being digital only, myself included to some extent. But I'll take any traditional (2D, non-Metroidvania) Castlevania game I can.
Wiiware also has Adventure Island. You're gonna love it if you like the original. You're gonna hate it if you felt that the original was too frustrating.
Here's a couple of wii sidescrollers I can add not all great though.
Green Lantern: Rise of the Manhunters George of the jungle Batman: Brave and the Bold Santa Claus is Comin' to Town Super Paper Mario Donkey Kong: Jungle Beat
Thanks for the info on WiiWare. I will check that out!

Ah, right, I forgot about Jungle Beat. I thought of Paper Mario but deliberately didn't mention it. It does have wacky game play where you have to turn the camera angle and whatnot. Do you think it should be on a list of traditional 2D platformers?
Ziggy587 wrote:What is that? You have to use the remote's motion control to move the character?
Not exactly. You control a person with the thumbstick in the normal way. The character that you are controlling has a wind spirit for a friend, and you can use the IR pointer to control the wind spirit. It's a wii ware game and it is pretty cool. There is also a sequel, but I havn't played that myself.
Super Paper Mario for Wii was actually quite good. Some old school platforming elements with the "3d" effect makes it pretty fun. Most complain about the wordiness of the game and the fact that when you view it from the third dimension it looks rather sparse. Otherwise, I loved it.
