There's another game like this available now called "Mega Man Coop and Versus" (tentative title, I'm guessing). No 4P, but it does have 2P online:

Both of them are GameMaker games AFAIK, so they're basically limited to the PC and Mac for the time being. There's a version of GameMaker that can create HTML5 web code for devices that support that, but the license is more expensive so the authors of these games may not have that ability.
