Re: R.I.P. Mega Man Universe
Isn't it April 1st in Japan...?
Still, dunno if that says anything. Capcom continues to majorly disappoint.
Considering Inafune isn't with them anymore, perhaps it's for the best.

When Inafune left I figured this would die as well.
What I'm really worried about is the future of Megaman legends 3.

Don't that just look oh so tasty?

This is the time of year when we need to ignore all news because there is a chance some of it is April Fools bullshit.
I will say that this particular piece of news does seem likely but you can't trust anything at this time.

I would much rather we had a day dedicated to only telling the truth. Most people lie all the time, and too many lie every day.
Ivo.

I forgot about the April Fools to be honest. I'm bad with keeping track of the date... I'm going to feel like an ass if this is a joke. Ha ha.

Re: R.I.P. Mega Man Universe
If this isn't a joke, it's a shame.
I played the game for about 15 minutes at NYCC and it wasn't all that bad. To me, it could just as easily have been Mega Man 12. But with the stage creator, (a nice little ode to Powered UP,) not to mention the various outfits you could unlock in the game - it had a lot going for it.
Oh well, at least I managed to snag one of these:
a 4-ft inflatable Lance, ala Arthur from Ghosts N Goblins/Ghouls N Ghosts..
Would have been nice to chuck a few of these in game against that one-eyed yellow monster..
Maybe the demo at the kiosk I played will see the light of day..

I'm a rabid Mega Man fan but I'm kinda glad this one has died. It just felt like a cheap bastardization of the series.
Maybe now Nintendo will acknowledge Metroid has a fanbase?

I dunno... this seemed like it could have been a cool one, if not for the custom levels alone. I think X7-8 and the Battle Network/Star Force series are bigger bastardizations. At least this was a traditional platformer.
