Jackie Chan's Action Kung Fu

Post by ShaneM8689 »

Who's played that before, thoughts on game? Personally it's one of my favorites, the game play is smooth, music is great and the graphics are beautifully done. It was pretty difficult for me to get off Ebay but I finally got it and haven't stopped playing since.

...but it is an AWESOME game.

Honestly, it is so obscure that I would be very surprised to see it as a "Together Retro" title. I would also be very excited because I remember it so fondly. I must have rented this title from my local grocery store five times in a row when I was a kid, and when I first started collecting NES games, it was one of the first additions to my collection.

Was after it a while back, it does look like a solid platformer. The NES version really pushed the machine by the looks of things.

I played this game before it was released at the Nintendo World Championships. It stuck with me as one of the better games I played there. I liked that and the NES version of Wizardry, which were among the soon-to-be-released games I played there.

I never got a chance to play Action Kung Fu again though for about another 15 years when I finally played it on emulator. It's still a fun little game, but my memory of it was better.
