Been doing some side-quests and exploring. I was actually even lower leveled than I thought, only now bumping up some of my party to lvl7. Ha. Spent some time in the dungeon under the Keep. Made it as far as level 5 down there, but the friggin' dragon is destroying me so I'm gonna leave and come back once I've leveled up some more.

29 hrs... still just sidequesting and exploring. Went off and killed a King. Explored some woods. I'm basically trying to go back and pick up as much of the Act I sidequests I missed early on. I'm not sure I can even visit any of the Act II areas anymore? I haven't tried. Once I do as much as I can find accessible, I'll head back towards Act III stuff.

Don't forget to do some bounty hunting if you've unlocked it in your stronghold.

I'm not sure I have? I know I've sent characters that I've left at the Stronghold to go off and do escort missions and stuff.

One of the upgrades you can get in the stronghold is the Hunter's Lodge, which unlocks bounty hunting quests.

y'know what I was thinking? Although I haven't beaten Pillars yet, I wonder if it would be smart to get the White March expansion as a means of adding some more sidequests to help me level up? (Right now, I'm all lvl8's).

I'm pretty sure the expansion difficulty shifts based on the level of your characters when you access it all, right? It's not expected that you HAVE to beat the game first, right?

The expansion needs to be done before you do the point of no return in the main game. I don't know if it scales.

OMG This is amazing news!!

http://www.pcgamer.com/pillars-of-etern ... the-works/

Oddly enough, I was thinking THIS MORNING about how I wasn't sure I'd find another modern RPG that I'd enjoy on the same level as I enjoyed Pillars Of Eternity. And boom! A sequel is announced. Or rather not announced, but they've confirmed that they are currently working on it. I am so so excited about this.

Yep good news. But did you miss the Tyranny reveal? Developes by Obsidian using the PoE engine. You play as a bad guy or in a world where the evil guy won. Seems cool.

There also exists the Divinity Original Sin games which are similar.
