I'm just glad I found it so cheap. My expectations are low on this one.

Feel free to keep them low, but Deus Ex: Human Revolution is a great game.

I think Deus Ex and Human Revolution are both great games, but in very different ways. And Deus Ex doesn't hold up mechanically very well.

I wish I had played Deus Ex before I watched an LP of it. I can just never get invested in the plot, no matter how many times I try to start it up. and the mechanics are just so dated that they're uninteresting. I do love what it does story and plot-wise in terms of the level of agency it gives the player, and I respect it for that, but it's not a game I particularly enjoy to play, sadly :(

Human Revolution, on the other hand, I enjoyed immensely, despite its flaws. (Though haven't played any of the other ones)

I have a key for Ryse for Steam. It's a little like a 3D brawler meets QTE-fest. I enjoyed it quite a bit and it's absolutely gorgeous if you've got the rig for it.

Mandatory history teacher complaint - it's less historically accurate than white Jesus.

I think that's implied by anything that swaps an 'i' for a 'y' in it's name.

Also, maybe it's supposed to be wight Jesus! :P
