What's wrong with it?

You mean other than the fact you can get a brand new one with free shipping for $15 less? :P

Link? But I mean more as to what's wrong with the GB Boy?

http://www.aliexpress.com

Search for 'GB Boy' and take your pick. The average cost is around $35 at the moment.

Nothing is "wrong" with the GB Boy Colour other than it having a slightly different screen aspect ratio to the original Game Boy Color. It's a fully functioning clone system that runs real carts and has a ton of games built in as well as having a beautifully clear screen courtesy of the built in backlight.
The only other feature it is missing is the GBC's awful infrared connectivity.

Thanks. I'm going to try it out. Hopefully it'll end my search for a GB light.

GB lights only let you play the original GB games anyway and there are no colorization options. They are easy enough to find on ebay but will set you back three or four times the price of a GB Boy Colour.

Can anyone who owns a GB Boy colour and a copy of Link's Awakening DX do me a favour and try something?

Start a game on your GB Boy Colour at any point where you can equip the sword. Now perform slashes while doing quick quarter circles on the d-pad(or indeed any circular d-pad motion.

Does your Link sprite disappear completely? Mine does. he stays this way until I either leave a dungeon or restart the game.

I've never encountered this glitch playing the game before so I'm assuming it's something to do with the hardware I'm playing it on. I tried the game on both my GB Boys and the same thing happens. Link becomes invisible and you can only see where he is if you swing your sword.

I searched online for similar stories but could only find one guy asking about it on Gamefaqs.

Can someone try it and confirm if it's a problem with the GB Boy or something going wrong with my cart?

We addressed the stock issue over a month ago.

Instead of spamming your shop in multiple threads, how about confirming my Link's Awakening compatibility question.

I just stumbled across a teardown video on youtube. I thought some of our memebers here might be interested.

Wow thanks. Been curious for years about the guts of that thing and it looks surprisingly well built which is amazing. Seems that video queues up a review after so I'll just leave it rolling as I work to listen to it. :)

Maybe I should track one of these down, if anything, for fun and for my little girl to use as she's liking her games I got her and it has the lit screen and more inside it.
