DISCLAIMER (added 8/15/2012):
I have changed my mind about Steam and no longer endorse their service. You can read my explanation for this change here.

Every time there is a good deal at Steam, for some reason I feel compelled to let people know about it. I don't want to litter the board with new threads though, so I've decided to just make this one thread for the latest deals on Steam.

EDIT: There are a few sites for tracking digital distribution deals that you might want to check out or bookmark:
http://www.steamgamesales.com/stores.ph ... order=desc
http://didimatic.com/dd/en/onsale/
http://www.deals4downloads.com/

What better way to start this thread than with a 50% off special on Fallout 3!
http://store.steampowered.com/app/22300/
This brings the total cost down to $25 American dollars and is good through the end of the weekend (7/5/2009).

Additionally, the publisher Meridian 4 is having a 50% off special on all of their games and you can buy the full set for just $25 bucks. They publish a lot of fun, sometimes innovative, but not outstanding games. The $25 complete pack is a really nice deal because you get to sample everything without too much investment.

Also, if you preorder Street Fighter IV now, they will shave $IV bucks off the price.

problem with steam's SFIV is you don't get the game pad right? I heard with a retail version you get a gamepad. I wonder if many people will play the PC version online cause otherwise the 20 dollar savings over a 360 copy may not be worth it.

I might get Street Fighter IV on PC since its cheaper and it will be perfect for my Mame arcade when I get my gaming computer.

Did not know SFIV was gonna be on Steam! Does this mean I'll actually be able to join the Racketboy Steam group and play something?
(I pre-ordered the retail version though)

X-COM is pure win. Even if you don't get the full pack you should get X-COM.

There is also an X-Com pack that has all 5 of the X-Com games on Steam for $15 bucks, if that's all you are interested in.
