Just noticed this thread for the first time. I'll probably be posting here, since I go to thrift stores on a regular basis. Now I don't have to post my good DVD and book finds in the gaming finds thread.

During the school year I've been visiting a thrift store about twice a week for the past three years. It's the Family Thrift in Lincoln, NE, and anyone in the area should check it out often. Usually I walk away with something bought. They discount stuff every few days till it's sold, which means good deals on pretty much everything and a really fast inventory flow.

Anyway, I've bought many things over the years, but I started recording my purchases and buying experiences in the past few months just for kicks and to see how much I've spent there. There's a good amount of video game stuff in there, but a lot of it is LPs, Laserdiscs, board games, and various stuff, so it's more appropriate here.

Oh I fucking hate you........

In other news I'm officially recovered from my car dilemma Racketeers! Thanks to all the help from you guys when I needed it most. it I was able to purchase, install and replace lots of old and worn down parts such as:

Both the muffler & tailpipe (With a tiny and nondescript chrome tip; aka looks nice, not rice)
Radiator and Hoses
Nice condition Official Honda mudflaps on the rear wheel wells
New old stock bumper turn signal lenses from Honda's warehouse
Had my seat belts refurbished for free by Honda during the run to get said lenses
Fixed and replaced the small section of dry-rotted weatherstripping on my driver's side passenger door (No more leaks!)

I went by habitat for humanity the other day, and what do I find but a bin of "Free Stuff" by the door they don't think they can sell. Inside were several antique books (the Fiancee snatched those up) and this which was promptly framed.

Now for a man that needs no introduction:
