There's a plate on the side that seems to indicate it was in service in 1956 and a sticker on the other side that shows it was repaired and calibrated on June 27, 1978.

Just got this a week ago for 1,500 dollars. 1978 Chevrolet El Camino Super Sport with 109K original miles, original paint, original transmission, original interior. It drives well and we have all the paperwork to prove the mileage.

I sure will. I hate when people do stupid stuff like mod their cars. For a car that is that old, it is in excellent condition. I'm quite happy with it. Factory cruise control, original radio, power door locks, power windows, ice cold AC. For 1,500 dollars you can't ask for much more.

Well, modding is fine when a vehicle is plentiful. It becomes less fine to me when there aren't many nice examples left anymore.

Anyway, jackpot at Half Price Books. Someone seems to have unloaded a lot of somewhat punk-ish and related music back on 02-11 since that was the date on all of these (except the Junior Brown). There were copies of Independant Worm Saloon and Bang which I already have, as well as a pile of Flaming Lips and some Revco as well.

I've run up an exorbitant tab on new backpacking gear as of late. The latest investment being a pair of Zamberlan Steeps.
