all at goodwill today and yesterday. great couple of days after a long drought for me.
Some great finds! I don't know if I can top that GBA SP.
Bah Wah Ha Ha Ha!Made another killing at the
Swap Meet last Sunday.
50 cents - Creative Soundblaster 7.1 PCI cardA basic Soundblaster Audigy SE model SB0570 for the wife's PC. I'll see if I can get my DOS removable boot drive games to work with this card. Stupid onboard sound won't work in DOS and interferes with my SB AWE32 PCI.
50 cents each from two different sellers - Microsoft and EMachines Ball MouseWhy would anyone want a ball mouse? This gives me a couple backup mice with both a PC PS2 connection and internal encoders. Once I figure out a knob attachment, the mechanical encoder is an easy
ARCADE SPINNER MOD. The Ball Mouse PC PS2 connection with an optional USB adapter is 100% compatible with all systems including DOS, Windows and OSX Mame Arcade Spinner Roms. Maybe a late entry to the Together Retro Tempest?
$3.00 - Namco Plug and Play TV Games It works!
Bosconian, Dig Dug, Galaxian, Pacman and Rally X roms. Yes, Pacman has the intermissions. Love the Red Ball steel shaft stick controller, though not leaf switch clicks, it has detents to guide the four way controller.
$7.00 - Ninja Turtles DVD Player with Remote It works!
Model number DVD287NT,
Cosmo Communications. A GREEN Audio Logic DVD player, the
Manual. Okay this is a little ridiculous but so very cool! That durable turtle shell plastic is more forgiving for transport and an eye opener for Car Shows. Made in 2006 this player surprisingly plays DVDRs and DVDDLRs. Has Composite, S-Video and Component Progressive Scan. Unfortunately Anamorphic DVDs don't stretch vertical and fill up the 4:3 screen. Expected for this era DVD player. There was even some weird public domain cartoon DVD inside. The matching green remote has a faded turtle logo sticker and a scan reverse button worn down maybe bit off by a hungry baby, but still works great! Has a kid proof screw holding the battery cover in place, thank god! Too many kids toys are missing the battery cover, Parent Lockout Password for R rated movies is 9922. Obligatory Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle Wallpaper as a background at power up. A definite rare collector's conversation piece! TURTLE POWER!
Parent Lockout Number 9922$10.00 - OSX MS Office X and Virtual PC 6.1 Combo packI swear with this lucky streak, I should go play the lotto! I have an older MS Office, now can upgrade to this one. Not the latest MS OSX Office, but these are made to go with my iMac G3 500MHz CRT. I love the G3 because of Retro look and compatible to both OSX and OS9 as a dual boot. With MS Virtual PC, I can dive into PC emulation with this classic iMac Power PC. I don't expect much, but I have a ton of older PC games that might work in my iMac! MS Virtual PC supports DOS, Win98 and comes with Win XP Pro right in the install discs!
Total for everything: $21.50!
