Too bad it doesn't seem to be HD.

No HDTV bug printed on the side o the screen at all means it's an SDTV. Remember, just because it has component doesn't mean it's HD, component was originally intended to be used for RGB quality SDTV video.

That having been said it should be a great SDTV, get yourself some component and S-Video cables for your stuff as say hello to a sharp and colorful picture!
Good point. Either way a plus.
If not HD, lightguns will be sweet with Dreamcast House of the Dead!

This is true, I didn't want a digital tv for my older consoles. I HATE pixelation. So i like the awesome upscale quality on an analog display. :) Gamecube Component & Xbox looks awesome, Saturn S-Video is a dream on it, and S-Video on Dreamcast kicks ass.

In my opinion for older consoles this kind of tv is BETTER than HDTVs. I have my 32 inch LCD for Xbox 360 and a future PS3. Anything under 720p on HDTVs look bad =/

Not sure if I posted this already, but I got Fuzion Frenzy and Midway Arcade Classics Vol. 2 for the original xBox, for five bucks from a friend of mine. Haven't tried 'em yet, but I can't wait to have a look.

killer goodwill run today...

Playstation w/ cables and 2 controllers 3.99
PS Resident Evil DC Complete 2.99
PS Destrega (half case) 2.99
PS Die Hard Trilogy (just disc in slimline) 0.99
N64 Superpad 0.99
Official N64 Controller (stick in good shape) w/ 3rd party memory card in the slot 0.99
2 decent shape vacant XBox game cases 0.29 each

and down the street at Game XChange...

traded in the PS cuz I already have 2, they told me I was going to get $6 store credit but wouldn't take it because the open button was sticking too much, so I ran to a dollar store and bought a screwdriver, fixed it, but then only got 4 because 6 is if you trade in a PS w/ a dual scock... eh, whatever

got $2 for the Superpad, maybe I couldve done better elsewhere but whatever to that too

bought..

DC Chicken Run complete 5.95
Saturn Virtua Fighter 2 in a regular jewel case w/ Manual 7.95

I hate you guys. I finally stopped in at my local Goodwill and the only video game related thing they had was a sad looking Xbox with no cables and a $50 price tag.

They're funny like that, granted their stock is all based on donations so it's random as fuck, but I've been going to a few different ones in CT. There's actually like 6 of them that are close enough to bother with, but it seems only 3 of them ever have anything I want. One of those is a 20 minutes north, one's a half hour east, one's 40 minutes north and the other (which I just found today) is a half hour south from where I live. But I've gone on Goodwill super missions, where I've been to like 4 of them in one day plus 2 other thrift stores that are in the circuit and still there's only a few of them that seem to ever have any gaming goodies. Weird. Also, their pricing is inconsistent from one store to the next... I've seen PS's priced anywhere from 4 to 17 dollars. I scored a Saturn w/ no controller for 15 one time, and seen a PS2 fat w/ nothing for 25 bucks, scored a Gen 2 (no hookups, but I had a Gen 3 already so that didn't matter) for 7 bucks, I even found that ass system Hyper Scan w/ 3 controllers for like 8 dollars but passed on it not knowing what it was (turns out I missed out on absolutely nothing, but it does look kind of cool). Picked up a Sonic Spinball cart for 2 bucks one time... uuhhmmm, anything else I think I've posted already. But yeah, there definitely seems to be good ones and bad ones as far as finding the good stuff goes. 50 bucks for a cordless Xbox is crap, though.

I got to actually go exploring for used games for the first time since I've been up in Chicago and came away completely empty handed in the retro department. I used the Retro Directory that we have on here which is great, but I feel like maybe brief descriptions, and I mean very brief descriptions, would be very beneficial. Ended up going to a couple stores listed on there, that had like 4 Game Boy games and that was about it.

Also every GameStop I went to, probably 7 or so of them, no longer sell DS games with cases. Every single one cart only. I guess I was spoiled in Louisville. Some great used stores and the Gamestops almost always have cases for stuff.

Anyway, got frustrated but ended up coming away with some excellent DS games. I didn't get steals on these at all, but wasn't upset with the prices. Toys 'R Us has buy 1 get 1 50% off on all there gaming stuff.

NEW:

Mario & Luigi: Partners In time
Super Princess Peach
Mario & Luigi: Bowser's Inside Story
Mario Hoops: 3 on 3
Mario vs. Donkey Kong: Mini-Land Mayhem
Mario Party DS
Kingdom Hearts: 358/2 Days

Used (CIB)

Yoshi's Island DS
Animal Crossing: Wild World
My Japanese Coach

Also got in the mail off Ebay:

CIB GBA:

Mario & Luigi: Superstar Saga
Mario Vs. Donkey
Classic NES Series: Super Mario Bros.

So I should be busy for awhile :D
