Sorry to say but I think they're all going to end up in the dumpster at some point. I do remember having an encyclopedia on CDROM was a novelty during the 90s but it is amazing how quickly it became obsolete. If you want to collect encyclopedias, I'll be happy to sell you my copy of Microsoft Encarta 98 for a good price.

My in-laws still have the large paper encyclopedia set on their bookshelf. My father-in-law has asked a few times if I would like this set (from the 70s?). I'm like, what? No way, it's just trash at this point.

What do you want for your extras CRT? Do you have a price in mind and I would think they may qualify for the media mail shipping rate?

I wouldn't mind taking 2 or 3 off of you for my boys.

Man, you are depressing. Well, I still like the novelty of these and the way the search works. Online is more up to date, but missing some of the rare footage and nice to have all the info in one package. I still like specialized Encyclopedia discs. Once in a while I pop in Microsoft Musical Instruments, National Geographic and Mad Magazine Rom discs. They are complete time waster toys, but fun to read thru.

Anyone who would like a copy, PM me. Prefer trades so please link your sales list.

Okay another couple of finds, Namco deals.

PS2 Soul Calibur III - $7.00 Bookoff
I already have this, now have the bonus Namco Transmission 3.2 Disc. Of all the fighters, I think this is one of the better ones. HDAdvance compatible.

PS2 Japan Kaena - $5.00 Bookoff
Even the Japanese registration card is inside. The game and movie no one has never heard of. I have the movie already, an okay CGI made by some French company. The movie initially was supposed to be just a video game, instead became a movie. The game came out later backed by Namco. The strange part is for a 3D explore game, the Analog Sticks are not supported. This is a plus, I can use my Arcade digital sticks. 8)

I posted about this a few days ago, in the Games Acquired thread, but forgot to upload a pic here.

Picked this up for just $2 at a local flea market. Pretty neat, I thought.

CRT, that game looks awesome. Is it text-heavy or something you can play without knowing Japanese?

That is really neat, and I don't even like Street Fighter.
Hopefully I won't get trampled for saying that...haha

Already own it, not really interested in Laser Discs unless obscure.

I'll install it soon and give a follow up review. Meanwhile check my previous Reply for Review links and background information on Kaena.

Desert Industries Thrift Store

A case of two very different keyboards, each unique for a different style of game.

Saitek Cyborg Eclipse PK17U USB Keyboard - $5.00
Amazon $51.19 - http://www.amazon.com/Cyborg-Gaming-Key ... B000VOE466

This had my son's name on it. An avid online FPS gamer and recently getting back into PC gaming. There are USB, Headphone and Microphone jacks at the top corner. It has selectable colors for the backlight under the keys so it can be operated in the dark. I can set separate color lights for different sections of the keyboard.

The real kick are the side keys for weapon select or any additional function.

My Board III MBS-PS/2 Keyboard - $3.00
1st School $89.94 - http://www.1st-quality-school-supplies. ... d-iii.html
Amazon $63.69 - http://www.amazon.com/Chester-Creek-Kid ... B0009RWSPO

Okay the other end of the scale a kids keyboard. Note the color difference for the vowels. The keys are ridiculously huge with a click feel of microswitches under each key. Now why would I buy this?

Big Tactical Click Keys + PS/2 Connector + SmartJoy Frag + Playstation = Arcade Panel.

The Keyboard with the older style PS/2 connector is perfect with SmartJoy Frag adapter in a PS2 with Arcade compilations. It also works very well in PC or Mac Mame with a simple USB adaptor. No need to build a dedicated button only Control Panel for games such as Asteroids or Defender. Now I can get close to the original Arcade feel with the big click keys! 8)

Gyromite Import Adapter Cart - $3.00 Swap Meet
With apologies to vlame, I have acquired yet another Gyromyte game cart with a Famicom adapter inside. Great for a few of my bootleg multi game PCBs. I now own four Gyromite Import Famicom Adapters. :D

Guess which cart below does not have the adaptor, answer above my signature.

Kenningston Expert Mouse Trakball - $1.00 Swap Meet
Amazon $199.00  - http://www.amazon.com/Kensington-5-0-Ex ... B00000K4LD

This was a very rare find, even more so when pieces are scattered. I first saw the base and instantly recognized it. Looked for the "Que Ball" in another box and the cable tangled with other PC cables in yet another box. I am only missing the Mouse port Serial to PS/2 adapter. I bought this last Saturday and the seller was not there Sunday when I picked up the Atari Jr. I'll go back this weekend and hope the seller returns. If not, then I'll pick one up online.

This is a huge Serial to PS/2 Trakball, it will also be used with the Smartjoy Frag in the PS2 or in PC and Mac Mame, this time for games such as Centipede or REZ. This makes up for my disappointment that my USB Macally Trakball is not compatible with the SmartJoy Frag. The regulation sized ball harkens to the original Trakball Arcade cabinets. Now that I think about it games such as Missile Command, Centipede and Atari Football all have white trakballs, maybe really a Que ball inside?

Okay I have huge keys and a decent sized Trakball for my big paws and some serious Retro Arcade gaming. Now waiting for the Fanatec PS2 controller which has a decent distance between the Analog sticks.

Answer to which Gyromite cart:
The bottom left Gyromite cart is a regular non Import Adapter cart. The bootleg cart is a relabeled Gyromite cart with a 66 game PCB inside.

NiCE!^ I'm not much of a PC gamer anymore but I definitely would have snagged that Cyborg keyboard for 5 bucks. COOL.

I did score one these for 2 bucks at Goodwill the other day

Since I'm not much for asdw and such I'm hoping this will help me get the most out of the original Deus Ex.. a game I still have to tackle.. I got pretty far on the PS2 version, but yaknow, that game is primo on a PC
