I haven't managed to find anything particularly noteworthy at Deseret Industries until this week. I did buy Civilization V for $5 a couple of weeks ago but the Steam serial key had already been used which apparently renders the game disc completely useless. Damn PC games.

I found this yesterday though:

Sega DreamCast system with power cord (no AV cables)
2 standard controllers
3 VMUs
Bundled together for $5.00.

I already have a DreamCast and I really only wanted the VMUs. I would have paid $5 for just them and called it good. The store also had another loose system for $5 and couple of controllers for $3.

Experience has taught me that when you find a complete system like this you can usually find a few decent games. Scouring the store yesterday turned up nothing but returning this morning I found this:

GRANDIA II - $5.00

I enjoyed playing Grandia on PS1 a few years ago and am excited to try the DreamCast sequel. It was priced as a collectible at $5, rather than the usual $2 or $3 that they price disc games at but I was happy to get it. It's still strange that there was only 1 game out with 2 systems, so hopefully they will bring out some more games in the next couple of days. Especially since Sonic Adventure 2, Marvel vs. Capcom 2 and Power Stone saves are on the VMUs. I just hope I haven't missed them already...

Ooo Grandia 2. That is a nice find, along with the other stuff!

I picked up the following from a St. Vinnies this week:

NES Advantage joystick: $2.99

NES Games: ($1.99 each)
Mike Tyson's Punch-Out
Captain Skyhawk
Roadblasters
P.O.W. Prisoners of War

Sega Genesis Game: ($1.99)
Shadow of the Beast

Cleaned em all up to pristine condition, but haven't had a chance to play around with them yet.

My desire for Dreamcast items got the better of me yet again :?

All in as new/mint condition apart from the box which suffered some crush damage on 2 corners in the postal system :(
Cost £70 delivered from Ebay.

Got this from a boot sale a couple of weeks ago but totally forgot about it..

The main unit of this is massive, it has 2 recesses on its underside with grippy rubber so it can sit on your thighs.
In new condition apart from storage wear to the box.
Cost £3 :)

Best for last
Picked up the following from Gumtree...

Was pleasantly suprised to find it still available after being advertised for 1 day :)
Boxs are quite worn, only 1 is missing it's manual.
Cost £30 :D

Ahh, the N64 PAL box, the one box where we (N. America) truly did better.

Is that a 3DS XL in your pocket, or are you just glad to see me? ~ZeroAX

Are you serious? The Dreamcast PAL case is probably the most gorgeous CD based case ever? All that PHAT art and inst. booklet, dueling hinges, so powerful yet so frail??? You must be joking.

As for the JP N64 - oh no, I agree, as I said, we did better than PAL...not JP.

Got two Guitar Hero controllers as well (one wireless, one X-Plorer) but I'm much too lazy to take a picture.

I picked up River City Ranson, Journey to Silius and and Super Spike V'Ball for $2.99 each. I'm pretty happy about RCR and JtS, and V'Ball is always good fun and I'm not sure why I didn't already have it.

Nice to fill a couple holes on my NES shelves, especially with River City!
