Good find. Lot of the old PC games are getting collectable. Get them while they're cheap and available!

Original Xbox $39.00 Even Swap BookOff
I already have bought an Xbox console a few weeks ago at BookOff and have since learned a few quirks about the different revisions of the console. Since then the store has acquired a few more original Xbox consoles. I asked the employee if I could go thru their shelves again to verify the disc drives by plugging in to determine the best model. He helped me go thru all the consoles to again find the newest model in stock. This time I found a console dated 2005-04-13. Brought up to the front counter, plugged it in, hit the eject button and verified the disc reader was what I was looking for.

The other Xbox that I previously bought was still at home so I ended up just buying the replacement up front. The employee told me to bring the other console on my next visit for a refund. Took the newer console home and sure enough, the games loaded quicker without all the excess read tracking noise heard in the other Xbox. Perhaps the other console drive was starting to go bad or is there really an issue on certain model readers? Even though normally a refund is only allowed at seven days max, the employee let me bring it back since I am in the store so often.

Getting the newest version is not always the best solution, a sacrifice of the best drive versus losing 480p on three Xbox games. Can't have everything, but I prefer the best reliability with the fastest disc reader due to better tracking of the eye. Posted a Guide to help others in their search.

Did you get IHNM complete or jewel case only? Either way that's a deal.

all were jewel case only. for $1.99 i'm not really complaining. someone turned in a whole gaggle of PC adventure games (stuff from DreamCatcher and The Adventure Company, mostly), but these were the only decent games, IMO.

All that cost me $21. Can't believe how cheap PS2 games are getting, those there cost me $3 each
