Gaming- analogous to broadcasting

So I'm in my first semester at University. For my minor (Film), I am taking History of Broadcasting. We have a final project. I will discuss in either a powerpoint or video, how video games evolved with/alongside/because of broadcasting.
A few things I thought to mention:
Stellaview - specifically SoundLink
Wiiu - how it is 2 of the 4 screens (TV and tablet not mobile or PC)
3DS & Vita - floating screen (tablets)
The evolution of FMVs
The medium of distribution - Carts, cards, CDs, DVDs, DLC, BRD
Advertisements and design appeal - SEGA (Nintendont) and box art
Sexualization
ESRB
Definition - usage of PC architecture to make the dedicated hardware better
Cross platforms - differences
From arcade to home
The evolution of video game sound - 8 bit, PCM, CD-WAVEform, chiptunes
Retro - respect for the oldies (much like LP records)
If there is anything you feel would fit in please let me know. Any sources of information or discussion.
