Friends was produced by Bright/Kauffman/Crane. Crane = David Crane.

Nice Article! I would have liked to have read more on his later games, the hows and whys of game inspiration such as NES Boy and His Blob.

Maybe because the hardware to run that dollar App is so expensive? The article goes further which I don't fully agree on though, just look at the preorder business on console games.

I want to take that player by the shoulders, shake him and ask “Are you telling me you got less enjoyment from that game than you get from a small order of fries from McDonalds?!?” As a whole, we are still willing to pay $12 to see a movie ($14 if it is in 3D), but we are becoming a society that expects games to cost less than a buck.
