I used to want to be a collector and hoarded games, but now I'm not really bothered about it. I've stopped buying games for the moment and just want to play through most of the ones I already own so I can sell the ones I don't particularly want to keep.

Gamer. I want to play my games, not look at them on a shelf.

Use to collect. Actually use to be a hoarder but now i just am trying to buy a game and play it then sell it. Its taken over a year or so but im happy the way things are going. My bank account is starting to be happy.

I have changed into a Collector foremost since I first posted in here. I still don't need everything to be A+ mint condition with box/manual/etc though. I actually almost prefer it not to have a box, because the uniformity I can achieve with UGCs and DVD cases using art from The Cover Project is just beautiful.

I will admit a certain fondness for Saturn/Sega CD Longboxes though.

Definitely a collector. I have as much fun hunting for games and collecting them as I do playing them :P. I tend to only buy stuff that I think I will play at some point but then again I am not a very picky person so my backlog is about 3-4 years long now. I am inching towards 2000 games if I haven't passed that point already  .

Gamer. Don't care about condition if it plays. Don't care about having every game in a library either. My goal is to have a small collection for each console...the big groundbreaking games for that system, the most popular, and the odd ones I just like. But all of them have to be fun to play.

^ this, this is exactly what i am....I do want a ton of games but not ones I will never play. That's just stupid to hoard games. That just means some person who actually wanted that game will never get to play it because i decided to hoard it, though i'd never play it. All my collection so far has only been stuff I'll play(and I think I've said it so many times too XD) and never stuff I'd never even touch once it went on a shelf. I'd like to have CIB stuff but if I can get it disc only a decent price and have replacement cases in the waiting for it(and print covers for it) it doesn't bother me not to have cib depending on the game. I honestly kinda want for my older cartridge based systems to find someone who does cases like the ds ones and print out my own covers for those. That way they're protected and appear decent on a shelf...
