So a guy sent me a copy of Cruis'n Blast for the Switch. It's not the game I ordered. I heard Cruis'n Blast is pretty fun though. Should I just keep it?

EDIT: Looks like Cruis'n Blast sells for slightly more than the game I was trying to get too. Maybe this guy did me a favor.

Scored a bunch of games on Steam's Winter Sale.

So psyched that Far Cry 3 runs decently on my Loki Zero. Hope a few of the other hardware-intensive games work fine.

A big month for new games this month. The first 2 games on my list were an order of physical copies from Japan for games which only had digital releases in the west. Other than that, the rest of my list were gifts from family for my birthday and Christmas, both of which fall in December. Looking forward to giving them all a play through.

Probably not, there's a thing on the bottom that covers the Switch's usb port with the grip's own usb port. This may not apply to most people reading this, but I found that it's alternate usb port doesn't play nice when trying to connect a modded Switch to a PC. It works just fine for plugging it to a battery charger though.

Ugh. I take back this recommendation. I got a chance to try that doyoky product provided in the link. The right analog stick is higher up on the joy con than it should be. This means that it keeps getting in the way when you are trying to hit the face buttons. What the hell were they thinking? Nintendo designed it the way they did for a reason

EDIT: Actually, the placement of the right analog is fine, it's just that it sticks out too much. It's taller than the one on the standard joy con

I’m not looking for joycons, per se, anyway. I’d rather have an entire grip/holder, but I’m not sure anyone has designed one with the dock in mind. There are some shell cases that work with the dock, however.

Yeah, I actually saw a shell case today that can actually REPLACE the dock.

A bit late on my December pick-ups, but wanted to share the last few games I got in 2023!

Landstalker (GEN) - I've been looking for a few action-adventure and RPGs on the Genesis that I currently don't have, and Landstalker was high on my list. I'm also looking for games developed by Climax, as I'm a fan of their work on the early Shining entries.

OutRun 2006: Coast 2 Coast (PS2) - I'm a huge fan of the original OutRun game, especially the Genesis port, which I spent countless hours playing and learning; however, I never picked up this later sequel. I finally pulled the trigger on it, and am really enjoying it! I definitely regret waiting all this time, but I'm looking forward to finally putting time into it!

Kirby 64: The Crystal Shards (N64) - Initially, I wanted to get Kirby's Dream Land 2 in December, but I spotted this title for a good price and couldn't pass it up. My sister also owned this game when we were young, but we never beat it, so it'll be fun to revisit and finally finish.

Paper Mario (N64) - This is another title that my sister owned on the N64, but it mysteriously disappeared. We still have not solved the mystery of this cart vanishing! I'm a big fan of Super Mario RPG and am looking forward to playing through this one too.

Damn Note those are some heavy hitters.

I have seen that eBay (and thus many reselling venues) is being flooded with counterfeit higher end N64 games. I am lucky that in Australia our labels are different (in terms of ratings ,etc) and almost all counterfeit games use US labels.

Beetle Adventure Racing (N64) - $10.99AUD / $7.38USD via eBay
The funny thing about this game, there is a 1:1 Australian varient called, HSV Adventure Racing. Same maps, menus, etc. It just has swapped out the Beetles with the Holden (GM) VT's. It is a not too bad game overall.

Star Wars Racer & Commando Combo (PS4) - $13.62AUD / $8.75USD via Amazon
The second and last Black Friday deal I picked up, Pod Racer with such a big game during that generation for me and a few of my friends. I am keep to get into it again and trohpies will give something new to aim for. Republic Commando I have never played, but more Staw Warsis always
a good thing.

James Bond 007: Agent Under Fire (Xbox) - $4.00AUD / $2.68USD via Thrift Store
This was sitting in with the DVD's at a store I don't get to often, I actually have it on the PS2, but who doesnt want that sweet sweet upgrade to Xbox.

*BONUS!!!! - The PS4 controller was $5 in the toy section of a thrift store, it is pretty good condition, I don't have a spare, now I do!
